Kleenex Tissues Were Originally Used As Filters In Gas Masks

Every household has at least one box of Kleenex in it. You use Kleenex for a wide variety of uses and not only for blowing your nose. Kleenex is useful in case you need a napkin quick; a Kleenex can even work as a paper towel if you’re in a jam. With all the uses that Kleenex has, it probably isn’t so surprising that blowing your nose wasn’t the first reason they were invented. Kleenex was originally used as filters in gas masks. The Kleenex would filter the air people in the gas mask breathed so that it was clean and free of toxins.
